    Gender Female
    Immigration 1830  [3]
    • "The transport vessel was the "Earl of Liverpool" which had left London on 3
Dec 1830. The ship' s Master was F.B Manning and the Surgeon David T homson.
The vessel embarked ninety and disembarked eighty-eight female convicts.
Mary had been tried in the Glasgow Court of Judiciary on 8 Sept 1830 for
stealing clothes and sentenced to seven year's transportation. She had had no
      previous convictions.

The entry on the indent shows her as Mary McCallum or McKinnon, age
twenty-nine. She could read and was of Protestant religion. She was married
with a family of three. Her native place was Argyllshire in Scotland and her
calling was described as " All Work, Washes, Planework".

She was five feet, one inch high, had a ruddy complexion with freckles, hazel
eyes and brown to grey hair.

On arrival she was assigned to a Colonel Snodgrass of Sydney. (See further
details on this in the attached notes.)

Apart from the indent, no other records exist for the 1831 voyage of the "Earl
of Liverpool". It is most likely, however, that Mary's three children came out
on the voyage with her. They first appear in the records of the Orphan Schools
      the same year."
